NASHVILLE, TN (June 1, 2022) – Hard-charging newcomer JACKSON DEAN sustains momentum with a coveted career milestone as he stepped into the Grand Ole Opry’s legendary circle last night. The debut performance began with a stirring acoustic version of his emotive track “Wings,” and a solid introduction to Jackson’s old-school, gritty stylings.

“I felt like it was only fitting to start off with the first song I ever released on a label,” said Jackson as he launched into the track featured on his recently-released album GREENBROKE (Big Machine Records).

Jackson then offered the bold stomp “Don’t Come Lookin’,” his fast-rising single which debuted at No. 39 on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart and marked the highest chart entry for an artist’s first single since 2015. Now sitting in the Top 20, “Don’t Come Lookin’” has also been featured on the soundtrack for Netflix’s The Ice Road and in an episode of Paramount Network’s Yellowstone.

Jackson continued, “I’ve been dreaming about this night for a long time. I know how many people have stood in this circle and who all has performed here, and it’s an absolute honor to do the same.”

The Odenton, Maryland native who moved out at 18 years old to live in a cinderblock, one-room shack on the back of his grandfather’s property with no heat and no plumbing clearly brought that same sense of adventure to his songwriting and the Opry audience enjoyed a front row seat to Jackson’s kind of Country. He will continue to show people how real music can be throughout the summer, joining Lee Brice on tour and on the bill at notable festivals such as CMA Fest, Faster Horses Festival, Seven Peaks Music Festival and two Country Thunder Music Festivals.
